My first sighting of Halloween 2011 occurred earlier today, Thursday, July 14 2011 at 12:30PM at an AC Moore Crafts Store in Western New York.
It's hard to believe summer is coming up on being half way over, and I could not have been more pleasantly surprised to see these early harbingers of autumn, as I drove past a shopping plaza this afternoon.
Already, I'm beginning to feel the anxiety that I am already behind, I won't be able to get it all done before the big night, that this year won't be all I want it to be. It's a good feeling to be able, then, to stand back and realize it's only July.
Click here to view my photos inside the store-- from the usual early goodies (ribbon, candle holders, towels), to the more different offerings, such as a "Duct tape witch."

Time is passing...
A short, simple post to get back into swing of rising from my dusty crypt and posting.
The front of one of my local Big Lots stores. Yes, we all know what season is less than two months away in the big-retail world, following "Back to School."
And what season follows.
It seems so far away on a humid, hot, windless summer night. But it's not.
